I originally requested this for general information about this trendy lifestyle and then to give my daughter as a gift. However, upon reading it I garnered excellent knowledge and resources about this theory and put much of it into practice as part of a new year's resolution to eat healthier. It is a good, informative read. ( )

A good cookbook to help you get back on the clean eating diet. The recipes are fairly simple and straightforward. I haven't tried them all, but I've earmarked a number of them. ( )

This is a good book if you want to start a clean eating plan without having to think too much about it. It was perfect for me because I was signing up for a 28-day clean living plan at my gym and could use this book to complement the program. I was a bit surprised that it had so much information trying to convince people to adopt a clean eating diet. Do you really buy this book if you are not interested in clean eating already? The only real problem I had was lack of advice on substitutions and wishing for more pictures! I love cookbooks with pictures but this perhaps isn't really billing itself as a cookbook? ( )

This book would have received 5 stars had the recipes matched the pages listed in the index. At first the error of a few pages seemed like an easy to deal with issue, but repeatedly having to hunt for the correct page to pick up the correct groceries at the store became beyond annoying. On the plus side clean eating is explained in a manner easily understood by cooks new to what clean eating means. Nutrition is very important. This book explains why fresh organic food is so much better for your body than over processed canned or boxed convenience foods. I know my adult children and their friends only know what their parents taught them about nutrition. Unfortunately the topic was not covered in school. The majority of the young adults I know would benefit immensely from the information in this book. There are several recipes in this book that I have tried, but it isn't feasible for me to follow the exact order recommended due to the recipe portions and leftovers not being wasted. I'm sure that issue can be worked if the recipes are rearranged. ( )

I was glad to receive this cookbook because I have been wanting to eat healthy for a while now. I will be honest and say that I didn't try every single recipe provided but I did try some that turned out to be quite delicious and very nutritious. I will be making a lot of these dishes from now on for myself and my family. ( )
