Douglas Ell describes with extensive (but approachable) scientific data that intelligent design isn't a God of the gaps, so much as scientifically sound and rational conclusion. The complexities we are discovering in nature - if we are to assume they came about by random chance and physical processes - come with odds that are quite literally beyond astronomical. I appreciated the time Ell took to spell out the mathematical wonder this world presents to us, and recommend this as a rational alternative viewpoint to the highly popular Scientism of our day. ( )
