Beginner Reader I really liked this book because it is a book that students can connect with from the very beginning due to their background knowledge of Halloween. Most children love Halloween, so this book would be interesting to them just by looking at the book's cover. However, when reading, students are able to learn about the origin of Halloween, the many traditions of Halloween, how it is celebrated all over the world, and different vocabulary that can be used on a daily basis (not when just talking about Halloween). This book would be great for lower elementary grades! Beginning readers need books that contain easy to read words. The National Geographic Kids book HALLOWEEN is a little advanced for beginning readers to read independently, but it is a great book to read with an adult. This concept books gives students some background information about different aspects of Halloween. The colorful pictures and fun backgrounds on the pages can be a little distracting to new readers. However, the pictures give students a visual about what they are reading. I used this book as a read aloud in my class on Halloween day. The book worked very well as a read aloud. My students asked lot of questions and were very interested in the book because of the subject matter. Overall, I think this book is a good book for kids about Halloween. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
