I like the little bit of suspense and mystery this book gives you. It adds to the engaging story-line. This is one of those stories you can't wait for the ending, yet you don't want it to end!!! I love Derek and Melissa. Their relationship is sweet and endearing. His need to protect her is instinctual and endearing. The bonds between all of the characters, not just Derek and Melissa, are interesting and believable. This is one of those story-lines that is almost ripped out of a page of Criminal Minds and Law & Order... I highly recommend this entire series. I like that they are all tied into one another, yet they can be read as standalones. It takes a good writer to be able to accomplish the standalone series.
