Aven! You have a great book out of the gate! It’s not often that I get to read a freshman novel and get to say “Yes! You ARE a writer!” Most of the time I am saying “with some work and editing, you can BECOME a writer”. Not the case here. Aven is a writer!

Ok, let’s talk about Connectivity.

First impressions: It’s a sweet, sassy, fun story with a bit of heat and drama thrown in for good measure.

You have MK, who is working her little butt off trying to make it into a career she loves. She has a foot-in-the-door job but is destined for oh so much more. She has a bit of Martha Stewart in her, but isn’t the horrid woman Martha is. She is driven and knows what she wants and is working to get it. Also, I want her scone recipe.

You have William, the British Billionaire who buys MK’s company and decides she should be his assistant after a bumbling first meeting. William is dashing, driven and well…hot. He is decidedly British, so you don’t get a lot of emotion from him. You know though, underneath it all, he is just a good guy.

William and MK’s relationship is refreshing. Their conversations are fun, the banter is funny and the inside jokes keep you engaged. It’s clear that Aven really thought about these characters and created them to complement each other. It’s also NOT insta-love. I love that. It’s a real, growing relationship that has bumps, turns and bruises.

Heat factor is mild in this one. Yes, they are having the sexy time…but it’s pretty tame.
There are a few side characters that were good for the story line, but not put in the forefront. This really is the story of William and Mary-Kate. I will say MK’s friends pissed me the hell off. Argh! Read the book and you will figure out why ;)

Bottom line: If you are looking for a book to make you giggle, sigh and has a sweet HEA add Connectivity to your TBR list. And keep an eye on Aven Ellis, I expect great things from her in the future!

Also, keep your eye on My Daily Romance, Aven and I have something fun planned for when Connectivity launches that you will NOT want to miss! ( )

I really liked both characters from the beginning. MK was just so damn clumsy that I couldn´t help but laugh. I am glad that William was never a jerk towards her like most books portray the man. Most of the time the guys are jerks first then turn into this amazing person. But not William. He was amazing from the start.

Mary Kate, yep like the Olsen twin, is an assistant trying to work her way up in the company so she can work at Beautiful Homes Network. She blogs, and has a knack for decorating. She´s focused and career driven. Until William Cumberland enters the picture. It doesn´t happen right away though. They begin to fall into a simple easy friendship. The only problem is MK is William´s assistant. But right or wrong, it is hard to hide from your feelings. Especially unexpected ones. Mary Kate´s friends really began to piss me off, as did her sister and mother. No one took a minute to see how she was doing. Her sister is so self absorbed that I just wanted to smack her. She thought that MK didn´t have a life because she enjoyed her work and didn´t want to quit and rely on a man. Her friends, I don´t even know where to start with them. I have no idea why they got their panties in a twist over Mk and William speaking. So it was no shock that they flipped their lid when they dated. Anyways. I loved William and MK´s relationship. They kept up their witty banner with one another throughout the story and they didn´t jump into anything. Their relationship grew over time. I love that neither one of them had to give up their dreams. I think they also helped each other grow as well. ( )
