This is the first book in the Creatures of Darkness series. A Wicked Hunger is a full length novel (of 350 pages) but it does end in a cliffhanger so you will want to pick up the second in the series, A Wicked Night. The story drew me in right from the start - fast action, vampires, witches, intrigue and super-hot romance. I'm looking forward to reading the other books in the series. in the Creatures of Darkness series. ( )

Here's the thing, this book is full of cheese. It's cheesy... as in...

There is plenty cheese to choose from. From the start, the meek and naive heroine.

*SORTS CRACKERS*

The oversexed dark and brooding vampire savior guy.

*GETS THE BUTTER*

The confusing (not at all confusing), sexual awareness sparks. There is attraction between the MC-s, and honestly that's ok, i mean it happens right? So why the hell do we always have these dumb as hell moments where the heroine takes off her panties, shoves her face between her legs and stares at her own coochie in absolute amazement while she asks herself, what's this? And, how could have this have happened?
And. I. Mean. Always.

*GETS THE BUTTER KNIFE*

The baddies who are trying to kill the heroine, while the hero keeps saving her arse.

*STARTS SLICING FROM THE AMAZING SPREAD LAID BEFORE HER, AND AS YOU SEE, IT'S QUITE IMPRESSIVE*

The inherited 'goodness' of the heroine, paired with her newly supernatural status that she never, EVER, could have imagined having.

*STUFFS FACE*

So why oh why, did i like it? I mean, the general gist of things is like a good pair of old boots. Well worn.

See, dear reader, the author also complimented her cheese board with quite a nice wine, in the shape of Knox. He is something of an unusual, unsuspected character for this type of a novel. Something that you truly don't expect. And i'll tell you, with a good vino, even cheddar can seem more then it is.

This is the type of book that i usually don't have the nerves to finish. At the first glance it sounds just to cliche to work, but the fact of the matter is, it was very entertaining...surprisingly so. ( )
