Title: Seagrass Pier (The Hope Beach Series #3) Author: Colleen Coble Pages: 336 Year: 2021 Publisher: Thomas Nelson My rating: 5 out of 5 stars. Each novel in the series is enjoyable with a good balance of suspense, romance, and mystery. The series begins with Tidewater Inn where Libby’s dream of owning a home on the Outer Banks brings a surprise of family she never knew she had. Then comes Rosemary Cottage where Amy goes to take time to mourn a loss and perhaps practicing being a midwife can become a reality. Now, in Seagrass Pier, audiences will read about the main character, Libby Summerall, is having memories of the woman whose heart she received in a transplant. Libby is a single mom of young Josie and also cares for her mother who suffers from memory issues. If life wasn’t hard enough, now she has someone stalking her along with a former relationship coming back into her life. Confronted with her past, she must decide if she can face it and hope to have a brighter future, all while running to stay one step ahead of whomever is after her. Libby and FBI Agent Marc Everton have pasts. Can they have a future neither thought possible? There are characters from the first two books who appear in this story, and the author did a super job of writing a series with characters whose past mistakes must be faced. In each of the three books, faith and hope are two of the strongest threads running throughout the stories. If you haven’t read any of Colleen Coble’s books before, you’re in for a treat! Enjoy some time on the island in each novel where characters learn that the past doesn’t have to negatively impact the present and where the future can be brighter than ever! Note: The opinions shared in this review are solely my responsibility. As with every Colleen Coble book I've read, I flew through Seagrass Pier. In fact, I've read all three Hope Beach books within the last few days. I admit, I didn't like this series as much as her others but I still really enjoyed reading them. To me, the endings were too abrupt but I was in the mood for romantic suspense and this series definitely delivered! I wish there was going to be another book because I'd love to read more about these characters. This is the 3rd book in this series and they all took place on the Outer Banks in a coastal town called Hope Beach. It can easily be read as a stand alone story, but the characters from book one and two are a part of this story also. It makes me want to go and visit this quaint town. It is a story of mystery, suspense and romance. I like how this author keeps you guessing throughout the story when it comes to who the "bad guy" is. Once again, there was a little bit of a surprise and twist to this story. There was a lot going on and I never got bored reading this story!. Elin Summerall has received a new heart after a virus damaged her heart. But ever since she has received her new heart she has dreams of a murder she never witnessed; the murder of her heart's donor. Police don't believe her and since she feels her life is in danger she flees to Hope Beach. There she seeks the help of Marc Everton, to protect her and her daughter and mother. She hasn't seen Marc since the night her father died and when Marc meets her daughter, he suddenly realizes the little girl is his and Elin has kept this secret from him for years. Watching this all unfold keeps you busy reading, to get to the end and see how all this will work out for good. I am very impressed with this author's writing style and have read many of her books. If you love romantic suspense novels you won't be disappointed in this series. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Also, Marc was only an FBI agent when it was convenient to the plot. So much so that I kept on forgetting that he was supposed to be law enforcement.
