I never read Emerson or Thoreau, though I've long admired their reputation and influence. So when I saw this at a thrift store I grabbed it. However, it's apparently better suited to be a supplement to an entire term of university study - it's much too long and dry for a lay reader. I would be better off with the Cliff notes to *this* book, in other words! I did struggle through about 1/3, but when I realized I just wasn't remembering anything I'd read, I gave up. For the right audience, however, it may be perfect, so I will not rate it. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
