This is a retelling of the original versions of Little Red Riding Hood, so it's pretty safe for even small kids, and oh, so fun! The illustrations are cheery and add whimsy throughout and the pop-ups add to the story in just the right ways. My favorite pop-up is the final spread as Grandma reads a new story of Red Riding Hood, one where she stays on the path, never talks to a wolf and goes straight to Grandma's. Red's response? "That's not a very good story Grandma". Grandma agrees :) (
