Is it just me that wishes now Liz Prince would get together with early 00s Jeffrey Brown? ( )

I loved Liz Prince's memoir Tomboy, and though I enjoyed this I didn't feel like Alone Forever was as strong of a graphic novel. The artwork was a bit messy and rushed looking and at times frustrating to read. Each individual recollection was cute and interesting and sometimes darkly funny. I especially liked Liz's obsession with men with beards and tight pants. I also enjoyed her stories about the punk rock scene, since that was a place I knew well in high school. Overall, the theme was a bit depressing as the title clearly states, Alone Forever. I may have enjoyed this type of humor if I was single and could relate more to theme. Overall, high schoolers and young adults who are single and looking for someone who may be in the same mindset as them will enjoy these humorous anecdotes from a young woman trying to find fun, love, and more than friendship. ( )
