Iced to Death is the third book in the A Gourmet De-Lite Mystery series.

Upon coming home from delivering her customers meals, she finds Ralph's Pizza delivery truck parked in her drive. Much to her surprise her sister, Pia, is paying an unexpected visit. Soon Pia tells Gigi that she has found the man of her dreams, Declan McQuaid. Declan is short handed at his bar and asks for Gigi's help in preparing the food for a private engagement party. Gigi wants to say no, knowing that her sister will think she is trying to win Declan's heart. Plus, Detective Bill Mertz will get jealous. But, she goes ahead and agrees to help Declan out. Bradley Simpson is toasting the happy couple and ends up berating his son, Hunter, for not following a family tradition of pursuing a law career. Hunter then storms out of the bar, leaving his fiancee behind. As Gigi is getting ready to leave, after her Declan have kitchen back in order, she finds the dead body of Bradley.

One of Gigi's customers, Madeline, is the fiancée and Gigi wants to do a little of her own sleuthing, just to make sure that Madeline isn't involved. She soon finds that it's not going to be an open and shut case. It seems the Bradley's wife left early and has no alibi. Tiffany Morse, a lawyer at Bradley's firm and want to be made partner. She has just found out that she didn't make it. Was she upset enough to do Bradley in? And of course Hunter, who was upset with his father's toast. In addition, he has designed some medical equipment that he needs money for, to market it.

Gigi has a full plate, what with the murder she is also concerned what her evasive sister is really up to and keeping her friendship with Mertz on an even keel. Pia is a great addition to this de-liteful service and am looking forward to learning more about her. And of course Reg, what an adorable character he his.

Really looking forward to the next book and see how the romance is going for Gigi. ( )
