Excellent read. Very well written and a storyline that had me right from the start. After the devastating loss of her sister, Holly Carrington finds herself the primary caregiver to an infant and back in Red River. The last place she wants to be. Quninn Manning can't believe Holly is back. She's the one woman he's never forgotten but the last time he saw her she was so young, staying away from her was all he could do. Holly is all grown up now but will their past keep them apart??

This is a wonderful quick read that was completely entertaining. I highly recommend this one. ( )

I was disappointed because I love these second chance stories, where one of the MCs has had a crush on the other forever, but these two seemed to fight over everything, and it wasn't fighting and talking things out, they'd start talking, trying to work through the issues in their past, but then one of them would say something to hurt the other, whether intentional or not, and then there'd be an interruption, and they wouldn't talk for days. I don't feel like they ever actually worked things out either. They did finally talk about why he did what he did 10 years ago, but they don't know each other anymore... it's been 10 years, so when they just up and decided to get married, it just didn't work for me. All of that being said, I do plan to read Claire and Jake's story. ( )

Review:

"A Risk Worth Taking" was a contemporary romance of a story of a "woman becoming a mother and a man finding himself a family." This is a love story that started during their teenage years that for a while was put on the back burner but as life would have it a second chance will come for Holly and Quinn.

Who knew after Quinn's rejection many years ago would bring them together again. The author did a wonderful job giving very lovable characters with a intriguing romance scenes that at time were very hot and less not forget the 'witty humor.' This is one of those novels that will remember long after the read.

"A Risk Worth Taking" was a good story that did offer a beautiful lesson and I would recommend this novel as a good read. ( )
