The author picks certain fly patterns that allow him to show new techniques that will help you to tie flies faster. One of the other things he concentrates on is making sure that the fly is durable by showing you a famailiar pattern that if changed slightly will hold up better to those trouts sharp teeth! This is more of a text book than a recreational reading book but without the sometimes dry presentation that other authors use.
