Junco's mission is clear. Go back to Earth, grab all her siblings, and give them over to Lucan so he can save the Avian race. Seems pretty simple for the death-machine team called Aves 039. Their success seems inevitable. Especially now that she's twined to Istan and her and Tier are finally together. Until some guy named Gideon shows up saying they're old friends. And she has no memory of him. Or the man claiming to be her father. Both of whom spout dire warnings about Lucan and his plans for her and Tier. But mystery of who and what Junco really is has yet to completely unravel and there are more secrets to be revealed. And when they are... it just might break her.… (más)

I received a free copy of this novel for my honest review. Book three opens with Junco back from her hiatus with Tier. You get an even closer connection with Junco (yes, really). This portion she learns things about Lucan and gets her crew’s new mission. She has to return to Earth to bring back “The Siblings”. Once again, Flight is a wonderful addition to the series, J.A. Huss brings such life to her novels. I also love the fact the Junco’s strength and character is consistently powerful. She’s never a weak heroine, always persevering. It’s great to have a female character written like that for a change. It seems there’s a possibility for a book four, I really hope there will be! ( )

See above - She returns to Earth to regain the captive five of seven of her clutchmates. Battles ensue and she meets her so-called mother and father, although it isn't clear if they truly are her parents.

Flight continues the story of Junco, along with her human 'family' and her Avian friends and love interest. Ms. Huss excels at making the characters come alive and leap off the page to drag you straight back into the action of the story, making you feel as if you are actually there and experiencing everything right along with Junco and not just reading about it after the fact.

Her story line still follows a fairly smooth trajectory, so that there aren't periods of 'down time' that drag on and on in-between periods of intense action. The physical action and the mental unraveling and discovery march along hand-in-hand, keeping a delicate balance without ever really tipping too far in one direction or the other.

And as much as I am loving this series, I am getting the first tingles of, well, frustration. Junco seems to have stopped growing emotionally. Granted she has more crap to deal with than any one being should ever have to handle, but she needs to stop with the pattern she seems to be getting stuck in and move forward more. She has so much potential, but it is starting to feel like she is in a holding pattern, which in turn places everyone else into a holding pattern. But again, this is just the first tingle of that feeling, so I am hoping that in "Range" this lack of emotional growth will be a thing of the past. ( )

I am just Junco Book Three
By J.A. Huss

Junco and her team must travel to earth in order to save The Siblings of Earth. Along the way Junco finds that everywhere she turns is full of secrets and revelations. What if you had the power to save a race of beings at the cost of the other? Junco may be strong willed but what she faces back on Earth will be a trial even for her.

I love Junco she is a loud mouthed character who doesn’t take crap from anyone. Plus she cusses like a sailor and chain smokes cigars, what’s not to love? What was annoying in this book though was that the men in Junco’s life seemed to turn into whining and needy men, each one vying for Junco’s attention and pouting if she didn’t reciprocate. Other than that the book is pretty good with tons of action and adventure, and so many twists it is hard to keep count. I did have one question, at the end of the book how did they keep everything straight? That’s all I will say or I will run the risk of ruining the book for those who haven’t yet read it. This is one of those books though you definitely want to read the rest of the series before jumping in. From page one this book held my attention I wasn’t a fan of the ending but it is definitely a great way to make sure you keep reading the series.
