HTML: Our coming was foretold by the elders... Andriana is a Remnant, one of the gifted born on the seventh day during the seventy-seventh Harvest after the Great War, and destined to act as humanity's last shield against the horrors that now plague those who remain. After years of training in stealth and warfare, Andriana and her Knight protector, Ronan, are finally ready to answer the Call and begin the life they were designed for. But as they embark with the other Remnants on the first of their assignments, they quickly discover that the world beyond the protected Valley is more dangerous than they imagined. The Sons of Sheol will stop at nothing to prevent Dri and Ronan from rescuing anyone sympathetic to the Remnants' cause. And as the Remnants battle the demonic forces, other enemies close in. Dangers intensify, but so do Dri's feelings for Ronan â?? the one emotion she is not meant to feel. In the midst of their mission, Andriana must find a way to master her feelings. Or risk compromising everything. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |

The romance is so subtle and explosive at the same time. This is true forbidden love and I love the stolen touches and secret glances that Adrianna and Ronan exchange. Building up to something greater.
I loved the different cities, trader post and so forth. I really kind of wanted to draw a map that overlayed over the current world just to see where things are exactly. Certain cities reminded me of things from ancient text, like the city of Zannibar. I felt myself thinking I can’t believe the world would revert back to that, but I also found it believable which made me sad.
Love the idea of the Ailith and their knights. It was interesting to me that they are paired with the opposite sex and then say don’t fall in love. Like that might be breeding trouble. Although who set the rules, I think they were trying to make the point that they are supposed to have a greater purpose and need to abstain from anything that might distract them from that purpose. Or maybe the maker knew that it might create a greater bond of love between them, It’s one of those things that can be left up to interpretation. Totally love that. I thought it was cool that they had these high gifts and they are all different and need to work as a team to combine their powers. It was like the makers way of making sure that no one person would have too much power.
I loved all the characters, the good and the bad. The Prince twins intrigued me and I really liked what made the Ailith good and what made the Sheolites bad. Plus I loved that the characters functioned as a group on the adventure and had this bond of camaraderie because of their purpose.
I loved the adventure, it played out well. With the little missions they would complete here and there and in a way finding people to join their cause. It was cool how it wasn’t just leading to one giant battle there was individual battles as well. They are not just trying to overthrow a ruler they are trying to change a society's way of thinking.
I really loved this book. I adored the writing, as I said Lisa is an excellent storyteller. I really loved the characters and the plot. Aces all around.
