A harem comedy but with a twist: the hot girls are a lamia (snake girl), a centaur, and a harpy, who live with a regular teenage boy. Monsters--they're real, and they want to date us! Three years ago, the world learned that harpies, centaurs, catgirls, and all manners of fabulous creatures are not merely fiction; they are flesh and blood--not to mention scale, feather, horn, and fang. Thanks to the "Cultural Exchange Between Species Act," these once-mythical creatures have assimilated into society, or at least, they're trying. When a hapless human teenager named Kurusu Kimihito is inducted as a "volunteer" into the government exchange program, his world is turned upside down. A snake-like lamia named Miia comes to live with him, and it is Kurusu's job to take care of her and make sure she integrates into his everyday life. Unfortunately for Kurusu, Miia is undeniably sexy, and the law against interspecies breeding is very strict. Even worse, when a ravishing centaur girl and a flirtatious harpy move in, what's a full-blooded teenage human with raging hormones to do?… (más)

Even though the centaur had character, it was too clichéd. ( )

I really loved the monster girls presented here; the design concepts and such are fun and interesting. And yeah, there's some over-the-top, fun comedy here. But this also has a *lot* of fanservice, way more than even other ecchi manga I've read. Too much. Plus, the whole plot feels really contrived, not that that's anything new in this sort of genre; it just stands out more here than in some places. Doubt I'll read more of this series, even though there's a part of me that wants to just for the exploration of the different types of monster girls. ( )

Oh this is great fun. Perfect stuff to keep you reading while other books turn into a slog...

Monster Girls! Yay! ( )

This has a much more sexual tone than I was expecting from the description I saw, but so it goes with a lot of manga. It's about a teenaged boy getting lumbered with various monster girls, "with hilarious consequences" as the saying goes. Mostly with kind of awkward invasion-of-privacy consequences to be honest. It was okay, the art's decent, and although it's pretty lowbrow I'm not that easily shocked - I suppose being brought up on Monty Python's full-frontal-nudity comedy will do that. I'm not sure how long the premise will stay interesting though. ( )

Indulgent smut, vapid characters, mindless plot, ridiculous premise. It's also the most purely fun manga I've read all year, and I can't wait for the next one. ( )
