It was a little slow to get going, but it was definitely a HEA that you can just read and enjoy. I would love to be a part of a friend group like theirs. ( )

Definitely a great read I just loved how Lottie spoke up and said what she really felt (much to her brothers embarrassment).

There was a lot of drama of course but the development between Lottie and Zan (who is super adorable) was lovely it didn't feel rushed and their problems from the last weren't just glossed over.

Overall a great read with great relationships (friends and siblings as well) ( )

I’m glad I opened up Deeper We Fall. I read Cameron’s [b:My Favorite Mistake|17348308|My Favorite Mistake (My Favorite Mistake, #1)|Chelsea M. Cameron|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1370774562s/17348308.jpg|21441527] recently, and was pleased with what I read, but with Deeper We Fall, I can say that I won’t be shying away from other books by this author any time soon. Near the end of this book, I went out and bought book 2, even without reading the last few chapters at the time. Once I did finish, my impulse to buy Faster We Burn was justified.

What I enjoyed from this book was that it wasn’t exactly the typical “bad boy meets damaged girl” storyline that many books follow. There’s nothing ultimately wrong with that type of story, but seeing it changed up even the slightest helped me enjoy this one a bit more. Instead of the damaged girl having something happen directly to her, it was her friend that was on the receiving end of a bad situation. Yes, this did affect Lottie, but at a different level than many books. It’s a similar situation with Zan, the male lead.

Another thing I liked was the dual POV. I’m not always pleased with dual POV books because some authors can’t write two different voices or keep the points of view separate enough while keeping the flow of the story going. Deeper We Fall benefited from the dual POV, though. Seeing what’s going on in both character’s heads was great. I also think it was done in a way that didn’t reveal too much as to spoil the story. That’s another obstacle when getting into one of the antagonists’ (Zan’s) heads. It also allowed me to sympathize with Zan, when in a book from just Lottie’s POV, I might be “forced” to hate him like she seems to.

I don’t want to discuss the plot too much in this review. It’s best to let the reader find out about that through reading the book itself. There are some nice plot points enjoyed, some fun moments, and also some very emotional ones. There’s a lot of punch packed inside this book. I’m hoping that in the next book, I’ll find even more to like about this series. ( )

Oooh, I just fell in love with all these characters, especially Zan! Really great story, and it will grab you from the very beginning. ( )

I received this book through netgalley for a honest review

I loved the story of Lottie and Zan. One night changed the course of everyone's life. Lottie, her best friend Lexie, Zan and his brother Zack. from that night everything they knew changed. fast forward two years later. Lottie hates Zan and Zack for what they did, what they took away. But when life causes their paths to cross again, all their scars are ripped open and when they heal its beautiful. I do hate how Lottie behaved some but I understand. I think the only reason I forgave Zan so quickly is because we were able to get in his head. I also liked that Zan liked to read just as much as Lottie and that they were into the same books as well. it was hard to remember that they are young, only because they act like adults in some, well most situations they are in. great book and cannot wait to read Katie's story. if it's anything like this one I know I will love it!
