This is #6 in the Guardian of the Ascension series
The book can be read as a stand alone, but you really should read the other five books. There's too much that have happened in the past that continues in this book that if you didn't read them you might be a little lost.
Great story, wonderful likeable characters and a hated villian. This is Grace and Leto's story. Because so many things happen and many questions get answered in this story, I won't go through it other than to say it keeps you on the edge of your seat waiting to see how things come to happen.
The sex scenes are hot and for the most part necessary for the story. (knowing that when our couple goes through their breh-hedden is the cause of the amount of sex in the book). Not your thing, the rest of the story is enough to keep your attention. I do suggest to skim through it because things happen during the sex scenes that are important to the story.
Enough of this book finishes, ties up, most of the questions in the first five of the series. There's more to be said... and I'm just waiting for Endelle's book, that's going to be a good one (although in my opinion we meet here breh in this one, just why they don't feel the breh-hedden is whole another story).
