I'm not really a PNR fan (I skip over the sex scenes), but I love the world that Nalini Sing has created here. I'm enjoying this series so much that I'm going to try her other works. ( )

This was such a great installment! Wow!
It had everything you would want, drama, romance, humor, despair,...
If you thought things died down a bit with the last few books, things get really heated with this one.

I liked seeing Raphael from an outside perspective for a minute again. We are so used to seeing him through Elena's eyes that we tend to forget that he is a freaking Archangel and he IS the authority people need to defer to. Still glad Ransom got out of that situation.

Raphael and Elena are really well suited and their bond deepens every book. I just hope nothing happens to either of them cause of the fury and wrath unleashed by the other one would be dramatic (to say the least).

Love how all side characters get into the action, tying all the books and storylines neatly together.

Pacing and flow were great, there is a lot of action in the installment, but you have more than enough time to catch your breath in between :-)

The book itself is well written, with no (noticeable) errors. There is (of course) sex described in this book.

Can't wait to start on the next part! ( )

I adore the Guild Hunter series. It's one of my all time favorite paranormal series. I seriously love me some Raphael and Elena is a kickass Consort for him. I have to admit I was hoping for a bit more of the relationship part and a little less of the conflict. I really want Elana to have Raphael's little Archangel!! I'm also over this emotional chaos with her Dad too. It's getting stretched a bit thin. I have re-read the first 3 in this series (favorites) many times and still enjoy the hell out of them!!! I am looking forward to more of this couple and some kick butt story telling by Nalini Singh. ( )

I did get a bit bored in the middle but otherwise perrrrrrrfect.

Edit: apparently I really like high strat Russian vampires cause I re-read Dimitri's stuff like five times.

Edit again: I keep reading this one and I'm not sure if I like it or not. eeeehhhhhhhhhh ugh. ( )

The first half was a little plodding perhaps, but it picked up in the second. ( )
