I found myself relating to Deanna's life, and I am sure others will too. It is very well written, and honest. I really enjoyed her honesty in this book; she puts her life right out there good and bad. I enjoyed knowing that I am not the only one who pushes God away in my life so I can do things my way.

Deanna talks about how God is good, and when we are struggling He is right there weather we trust that or not is our choice. This is a quick read, but this is a very intense read. Deanna is a very engaging writer, and I look forward to her next book. I recommend this book to everyone no matter what your religion status is.

Disclaimer I was given a copy of this book to read and review, by the author. The opinions are my own. In addition, this is my honest unbiased opinion. ( )

In a very personal memoir of missteps and misdeeds, Deanna Nowadnick writes of the enormity of God's love for, and faithfulness to all of His children. Reframing life in God's grace through her own unique experiences, she discovers an indescribable, indefinable, inexplicable love that has encircled her and sustained her without fail through joyous, sad, cringe-worthy, heartwarming, forgettable and memorable moments in life. Fruit of my Spirit is for anyone who has ever questioned God's ability to love and forgive, who has ever wondered about their place in God's family or God's place in theirs.

Fruit of my Spirit offers hope for those who dare to question, secretly wonder, but who fear to ask.Through Deanna's personal stories of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, you will experience the enormity of God, as well.

This was the first book that I read in the new year. I can see God at work all the time in my own life, and am always interested in learning how He reveals Himself through other people's lives. I give this book an A! and look forward to reading more from Deanna Nowadnick in the future. ( )

This book is about different experiences the author had throughout her life, and how she used the Fruit Of The Spirit.

Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV), But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. (the Apostle Paul in his letter to the people of Galatia)

Each story is interesting, and we learn a lot about this author. I loved the photos, and the hymns that were at the end of the chapters. I enjoyed learning the Greek words at the beginning of the chapters.

One of the chapters I connected with the most was when Deanna was a Camp Fire Girl. I don’t ever remember hearing about them when I was young. I was a Girl Scout though. Deanna did not like camping at all. At. All. Me on the other hand, loved it! I still remember singing songs and starting fires, and making Hunters Stew which was so so so good.

I loved this book and would recommend it to all women and teen girls whether you’re religious or not. The stories the author shared are interesting and uplifting. I’ve had this book for quite a while and it took me way to long to get to it, especially since it’s only a little over 100 pages. I wish I had just stuck it in my “review” stack closer to the top and read it sooner. I have her book Signs In Life and plan on starting it right away. ( )

I received a copy of this book from the author and received it at a low point in mine and my husbands life. My husband was diagnosed with cancer in July of 2012 and has finished with his chemo this year and is finally getting back to normal with a clean bill of health. I am not a very religious person but after going through what we went through I have found that the power of prayer works.

This book came at a time when my spirits were down but reading Deanna's story, I realize that everyone has their cross to bear. Deanna tells her own life story about her life as a young girl and as a wife and mother where her beliefs in God are a very important part of her life. I did enjoy this little book and I thank the author for allowing me to read about her life. ( )

From the moment I began reading the preface of Fruit of My Spirit I chuckled; here was a writer I related to; a real person, close to my age, who responded to life like anyone else, her words not spiritually sugar coated: “I’m impatient whenever life has the audacity to thwart my plans. I get frustrated whenever life presents a detour or a hurdle.” Oh yeah…Amen sister, preach it! Deanna’s memories of love, marriage, family, her childhood, her teen years and adulthood are down to earth, sometimes funny even embarrassing and I know that many people will be helped by her way of seeing Gods hand in even the most trying times. Her book helped me, and that’s miracle because I’ve been in the midst of one of the hardest years of my life. It made me happy to start each day, these last 2 weeks, reading a chapter. It was good to look at my circumstances in a different light.

As Christians, Deanna reminds us that to be a Christian doesn’t mean we are perfect, and perfection doesn’t matter because God loves us just the way we are, in spite of our short comings. Anyone who is not a Christian will read her memoir and get insight into those “not so perfect” relatives that keep bugging them to go to church. The thing is, we didn’t just “arrive” in holiness when we said yes to Jesus—we arrive when we enter heaven, all else is the time we spend preparing to be ready, and sharing the love of God. I’m giving five stars to this little book (90 pages) with hope that you will pick one up and let God’s grace touch you through her message. Hurry now, go read Galatians 5:22-23 and find out about the fruit of the Spirit. ( )
