This book was about a Rat and Roach who were best friends, but were completely different from each other. Rat liked to be messy and eat gross things. While, Roach was too tidy and ate things that were fancy. This book would be good for 2nd graders who need to learn that it is okay to be different from one another, as long as both people are willing to compromise and accept the other person's differences. This was a fictional picture book. I enjoyed this book because it acknowledges and celebrates differences in friends. My favorite part was the ending because the two friends make up and do something special for the friend. For example, Roach makes Rats favorite food, and Rat who cleans up for Roach. ( )
