No es la mejor de la serie, pero tiene grandes momentos. “Deeply Odd” sigue teniendo a un protagonista sencillo y muy entrañable, bastante más inteligente y con más sentido común que muchos con ínfulas, quien sigue profundamente enamorado de Stormy Llewellyn; sigue teniendo un humor tontorrón muy divertido y grandes escenas paranormales, por lo imaginativas que son y lo bueno que es Koontz estirándolas y estirándolas durante varias páginas. Aquí brillan los cambios de dimensión en el centro comercial (una es el mundo actual y la otra un mundo de oscuras tierras baldías poblado de inquietantes seres); las dos dimensiones en el garaje, donde además aparece un ser que dice ser Odd Thomas, pero que realmente le quiere robar su alma; y todos los preparativos en el edificio de la escena del clímax.
