It sucked me right in from the first page and really didn’t let up. The characterization was excellent. The dialogue was sparkling. The historical aspects well done. Loved it. ( ) Not your average costume romance novel, in fact, the main character spends almost the entire book in costume. Posing as her dead cousin Anthony North, Millicent Boarder ventures out in society in the company of a Lord of the Realm as her introduction to the ton, and helps both his sister and hers make in high society. Funny, a bit scandalous, and all round good fun. As clearly telegraphed by the title, this Regency romance was unrealistic, historically inaccurate, and absurd. It was also very entertaining. Cinderella meets Victor/Victoria meets Identity Thief. I probably gave it one more star than it really deserves, but I just finished reading it on my vacation while sitting on my balcony at the beach, and Iêm feeling generous :). sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
