I really loved Laurell K. Hamilton's early Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter series books but I did feel like she lost the thread a bit in the middle of the series. I am glad to say that it seems like she is focusing more on the story line and less on the sex of late which makes the books better in my opinion. I think Anita is a great character and Laurell K. Hamilton can write a great plot but her overly complicated sex scenes can somewhat take away from the book. (

What a waste of time and money. After I bought it, I found it was an outtake of a book I had pre-ordered already. Then to read it and find it is nothing but a sex scene which is no longer my thing and something I have been finding increasingly disappointing in her books. So it is short and boring and I should not have paid as much for it. Surely this woman has an original short story in her and doesn't have to make her fans pay twice for the same shit.

It's easy for Anita Blake to doubt her beauty when there are sexy vampires like Jean Claude around. However, with the help of a large hot tub two incredibly sexy men (well vampires)- Jean Claude and Asher- will make her feel like the most desirably woman alive...

Although short, only 30 pages, this was a hot little preview into the newest Anita Blake novel that left me anxiously awaiting the release of Kiss the Dead. (
