So confused between genrres of legal, roimance, sea, it failed to satisfy on any counts. ( ) I can't remember how or why this book ended up on one of my endless lists of books to read, I suspect it has something to do with the fact that one of the central characters, Leo, a successful barrister in his forties, is gay and that large parts of the plot are motivated by the damage the rumours about his "indiscretions" could do to his career. Readable and tolerably entertaining but that's all. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
Pertenece a las seriesCaper Court (2)
The second novel set in the barristers chambers of Caper court, of the love and duplicity behind the professional ambition and gloss. When Leo Davies set out to capture the affections of chilly but beautiful Rachel Dean, he takes on very much more than he bargained for. Rachel is a solicitor with a dazzling future before her and a dark and frightening past behind. Leo's tangled sophisticated life, Rachel's newly awakened passions and the unrequited love of Anthony's cross from the intricate cats cradle at the heart of this absorbing third novel by a writer who brings life with uncanny accuracy the obsessions and delusions of people in love.
