It is loaded with sight words, and offers the challenge of new words throughout. The illustrations are brilliant and appeal to any reader. ( ) I really enjoyed reading this story aloud to some young children ages 3-5. The illustrations are simple yet complex enough to engage the reader's eye. The story begins by fish wishing to be another animal. As the story unfolds, fish continues to wish he could be any other animal but himself. As fish mentions each animal, he describes a fun trait or characteristic that makes them unique. The purpose of this story is to help the reader(s) realize it is ok accept who they are and what is great about them. Young readers can ask questions as they read such as, "Why would the fish want to be something else?" Questions like these would prompt classmates to elaborate on the reasons why someone or something would want to change. The book captures the spirit of embracing YOU. The book also may evoke feelings in some children that can identify with those feelings, but do not understand how to express them. These children will see that it is okay to experience these feelings and it is okay to talk about them. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Fish wishes to be all sorts of animals because each one is special, then realizes there is something good about being a fish, too. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
