Keanu Reeves in Point Break comes to mind every time. Kali (the female lead) and Zane (the surfer dude) are really likeable, and the story kept me gripped. Book 2 is now out so i'll be reading that too. Great Read! ( ) I don't often choose YA titles. But I do enjoy Edie Claire's books, and a good ghost story, so this seemed to be a good choice for a sunday afternoon read. It was. Although it is decidedly YA in tone, this did not detract from the story which Clair always excels in building. Wraith is about a teenager who is in the process of moving to Hawaii with her military family. In many was it was a dream come true for Kali, but she had no idea just how wonderful it would be. The waves were there, the beautiful weather ad even a good looking guy her own age to give her the grand tour of the island. And the guy seemed to like her. Everything was falling into place, and would have been perfect. But Kali had a secret. A secret she shared with no one, not even her parents. She could see what she called shadows. They were not exactly ghosts, but they were shadows of events that had happened in certain spots long ago.But oddly, while in Hawaii, she seemed to see even more shadows than ever. And to make things worse, she now felt the energy, the emotion of the event as well. She might have been able to get used to that, if that were all. But there was more. There was Zane. He wasn't shadow, not by any means. The trouble was, he was not a living breathing touchable boy either. He was great looking, he could dance, swim and surf and even had a great sense of humor. But he was not like anyone she had ever met, Zane was special, very special. Maybe life changing special. recommended. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

A captivating ghostly romance from USA-Today bestselling author Edie Claire! She thought that seeing the shadows was a curse. Until she saw him. Seventeen-year-old Kali has always seen two sets of people: those living now, and those who lived before. But on her spring break in Hawaii, she is suddenly surrounded by more shadows than ever. Including one who, unlike the others, can see her too. Zane remembers nothing besides surfing the monster waves of Oahu's North Shore. He doesn't even know how, or when, he died. He only knows that Kali's "gift" could be his last chance to find the light -- before the mysteries of his past plunge them both into darkness... No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
