Of exceptional interest is material on the tactics, drill, & strategy of musket & pike warfare; on the Swedish attempt to storm Copenhagen 1659; on the policies & diplomacy of the rising European Powers (France, Britain, the Netherlands) toward the waning Nordic Powers (Denmark & Sweden). ( )
