The author/illustrator tackles the big topics like what happens if you have a heavy head, what to do with unwanted spinach and what the garbage truck eats for breakfast. Easy and fun to read aloud! My only negative comment is that there are numerous poems about characters being fat, while they aren't mean they might influence kids perceptions of body image. ( ) This poetry collection by Douglas Florian (who also illustrates the book) is in my top 5 poetry books of all time, and I read poetry aloud. Bing Bang Boing is a no frills KIDS poetry book. These poems are about kids, for kids, and from the kids viewpoint. Adult interpretations of Bing Bang Boing are unnecessary, the kids will get it. In Florian's poems you will meet the man who ``stayed in bed/ Till mushrooms sprouted from his head'' and the aunt who ``grew AUNTlers overnight'. You might even find yourself as the foil of one of these poem, so beware! I give Bing Bang Boing the Joseph Approval for reading in classrooms everywhere. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
