Mick and Kate thought they were falling in love. Kate hadn't been just the girl next door. She'd been Mick's life, and he hers. When an unforeseen force draws them apart they're left with wounds that refuse to heal. Now, ten years on, Mick's father's will should have been straightforward, except his addendum was like ice water in Mick's face. It's essential that Mick and Kate work together to save his family's farm. First off let me say that I love Ireland and I am fascinated with stone circles, and this book has both. This novel by Kemberlee Shortland takes place not too far from Dublin on adjoining farms. Kate and Mick grew up together and she has always been in love with him. She took care of Mick's parents, who considered her one of their own, and Kate was extremely saddened after the deaths of both parents. She was angry at Mick for not being there for his parents. When it came time for the reading of the will for Mick's father (Donal) they were both in for a huge surprise...good or bad?? I will let you determine that when you read the book and read the book you must. A very delightful story with lots of action, love scenes and devious people. Lot's of sparks flying around too! Did I mention there was a murder?? Yup... so what are you waiting for? Go get yourself a copy of this book, you will not be disappointed. The next book in the series Constant Craving is also available which I will of course be reading. ( )
