I enjoyed re-reading this book again. I had forgotten several of the plot points. It is interesting to see how culture has changed so much from the early 80's to today (late 2017). (

Just for the record, I did read the first book "Charly" (not to be confused with the movie "Charley" aka "Flowers for Algernon").
They are feel-good, sweet, spiritual, clean romances.

I loved this story because it goes beyond the "happy ever after" romance story, beyond the tragedy of losing a spouse, to the reality of learning to love again. (

Was a good book for a quick read, although I have to say it wasn’t as good as Charly. The plot was very predictable, but is a story that everyone can relate to. If you haven’t read Charly make sure you read that first! (
