This is the story of a group of boys who try to save the world! As boys, Kenji and his friends came up with a bunch of stories about an evil organization bent on world destruction. As adults, someone is now turning their fantasies into reality! Reads R to L (Japanese Style), for audiences T+ Sorting through the volumes of research his dearly departed mentor left behind, a young priest, recently returned to Rome, stumbles across a mysterious (and potentially dangerous) book that prophesizes the end of the world. Uncertain as to the text's true meaning, Brother Luciano's search quickly leads him to a startling revelation: the Friends may have operatives inside the Vatican, and the young priest's life is most likely now in danger. Around the globe, the mysterious and deadly virus continues to spread as the death toll mounts. However, Kanna, Otcho and Yoshitsune have another concern: despite what is being reported in the media, several people have claimed to see the Friend alive and walking the streets of Tokyo. But what does this bode for the pope's visit to Japan and the 2015 World Exposition in Tokyo?… (más)

New virus is unleashed by mysterious people in gas-masks. Everything is centered around Expo 2015 and Pope's visit to Japan. And this is where Friend makes the most vicious attack, place where he will declare himself as something greater than a human.

I gotta say this entire setup is really devious and scene with the Pope..... brilliant, i truly think nobody knows what is coming up next, including the assassin known as number 13.

Art as always is great.

Highly recommended. ( )

Kanna's crew has just expanded by one, and we have Father Nitani's backstory. I kind of wish Nitani had the opportunity to bring the Pontiff on board, but ah well. ( )

Why am I upset with this manga, now, after so much praise? It's not because of the perfectly balanced foreshadowing. Nor is it because I kind of half-expected this storytime outcome. No. I'm upset because I wanted the bad guy to have stayed dead and have the adventure continue as cleverly as it had before.

Although, if I'm going to be perfectly honest, seeing the pope get saved like that was pretty funny, even if it brings up a whole mess of messiah like complications. I mean, seriously!

Après un petit coup de mou, la série reprend son rythme avec le jour de l'assassinat présumé du pape, le retour d'Ami... et le début de la fin du monde. Un tome bien rythmé et prenant ( )
