It's a good quick reference (although it could use an FAQ section) and fun to browse while waiting for the syrup or sugar to hit the magic temperature. Having assimilated most of the information, I passed it along to a volunteer organization now developing a sugar bush on their property so that their syrup crew will have some diverting reading to while away the boiling hours. A beautifully Illustrated and definitive guide to maple sugaring, from the fascinating natural history of the tree itself, through its little-known role in the life of Native Americans and early European settlers, to the still-amazing alchemy that makes real maple syrup one of the most cherished folk products in the world today. Includes tips on how to tap your own trees and brings together 50 of the best maple recipes. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
