Bella is in Year 8 and has spent her entire life in a wheelchair. A field trip to a museum and a project on the extinct Tasmanian Tiger starts her thinking about her father ( and why he abandoned her as a young baby), her step-father and her mother and baby brother. She also befriends an elderly neighbour who opens her eyes to some truths about life. Couple this with her best friend thinking she is a lesbian, her project partner Adrian falling in love with her and new contact with her biological father and two half sisters – the time of the Tiger Project is a fantastic read.Who thinks we should bring back the Tasmanian Tiger if we could clone it? p.118 - 120
