Finding this book is like visiting an old friend who has had an extensive makeover since its appearance many years ago. Yes, we expect young people to use all the Web 2.0 multimedia creation tools without much teaching and yes, many of the tools have great design features built in; but, Barron and Ivers is very useful as children and young people advance beyond quick and dirty to advanced ideas of design in a multimedia world. The book begins with the author’s model: Decide, Design, Develop, and Evaluate and the entire book is built around each of these steps using a wide variety of tools that are free or fee. The book is valuable to the teacher librarian who wants sophistication built into projects that come though the learning commons. And, if young people are interested in careers in multimedia, they need to combine their own creative expertise with still development. So, we heartily recommend this title for teacher librarians and teacher technologists to improve your own expertise and then to transfer that expertise to students in an I’ll teacher you, and you teach me, and we will all get better atmosphere. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
