Lenore was always being teased by her co-workers. They would call her a nerd because she was quiet and did not look like everyone else. Lenore always ignored them. She practiced with her birds every night to become the big star she knew she was. Her and her bird act were a mega hit. She was famous all of the world.

I thought this book was very cute and teaches a great lesson, a lesson in confidence. Children should learn that it does not matter what others think of them, as long as they are doing what they love. I would use this book for a reading lesson. It is short but has a great message behind it. ( )

This is a book about a woman that is made fun of by her co-workers all the time. She pays no mind to their mean actions toward her because she is secretly working on something magnificent outside of work that no one knows anything about. At home she has a house full of many different species of birds that are practing dances, tricks, tight rope walking, and other amazing acts. One day she quits her job and ends up being a world wide star. The poeple she used to work with that made fun of her are now her fans in the end. This book could teach the "don't judge a book by its cover" lesson to never jugde someone you do not know. ( )
