Shaha Greger's retelling of the Aztec origin story of the Sun and Moon is a cultural treat. Having no prior knowledge to this origin story, I found the ancient explanation of why the Sun and Moon shine in the sky very spiritual and insightful. Besides the awesome story, the Mesoamerican art style is brightly colored and boldly active, which creates a flowing illustrative journey. ( ) This is a story on how the earth was created. Two different types of sun battled for power for many years, and at the end, various suns sacrificed themselves to create the moon and sun. It is interesting how this myth describes the creation of the world. It has similarities with Christian fables....like Adam and Eve. I might use this book if I was doing a lesson on Aztec culture. I would not use it just on creation because it could conflict with some student's point of view. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
