She told of all her adventures and what she did with her sandals. One day she was swinging on the swings and they flew off, then her mom bought her new boots and she learned to love them. At the end the boots left and her sandals came back. The message was to learn how seasons change and so do our wardrobe changes. A Flock of Shoes was one of those rare books that she not only wanted reread, but it was one that she bragged about to all of our relatives. The circular aspects of the story make it very easy for children to realize and identify with the plot. And the simple use of changing shoes, opens up numerous opportunities to discuss time and season changes with preschoolers. We all found this story likable and adorable. A Flock of Shoes is an endearing read for any child 2-6. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Abby loves her pink and brown sandals with the lime green trim. She wears them everywhere until one day while swinging high, the sandals flip off Abby's feet and fly away with the birds migrating south for the winter. All winter long even though Abby grows to love her warm and comfy boots, she wonders what her sandals might be up to, and where her boots will go when the weather grpws warmer.
