Descripción:: The El Mirage is one of 19 locations in the Maricopa County Library District (MCLD). The 2,500-sq. ft. building serves a city comprised of a culturally deep-rooted Hispanic/Spanish population, as well as a rapidly increasing population of new families from nearby developments. The library has a collection designed to meet the needs of this diverse community and includes a large collection of Spanish materials. The library also has Internet accessible computers and regular bilingual programming activities.

Each year, MCLD holds more than 6,500 free events for all ages. We run a summer reading program for more than 75,000 people, and an annual "food for fines" program that accepts non-perishable foods for local pantries in lieu of collecting overdue fines. We seek to inspire curiosity, to encourage discovery and exploration, and to help residents re-engage with their community.
