New Global Challenge Group

There's already an ongoing group for this called Reading Globally that's been in existence for a number of years. You can find it here.

Sounds like fmgee's group is just as heavily NF as F. Isn't Reading Globally more fiction? (Curious myself because I've been considering doing the global reading challenge but haven't quite worked up to it.)

I've been ignored any time I asked about nonfiction in Reading Globally, but YMMV.

I think a lot of people focus on fiction in Reading Globally, but we discuss nonfiction too.

Good to know about the Reading Globally group someone none of my searches found it (clearly my poor choice of search words!)

I am going to leave my group open as Reading Globally looks a little too structured for me. I have had a fun time going through my library and fitting in books to different countries and considering how best to optimize where to put some of them that travel a lot. What country should Eat, Pray, Love be filed under? All three options are great but I had to choose Indonesia because it was empty on my list while India and Italy already have multiple books each. I was also amazed at the number of a books I have read from some countries like Pakistan and Afghanistan and surprised that I could put something in countries like Myanmar, Malta and Lebanon.

Like I mentioned in the blurb Fiction, Non-fiction, Children's Books, and anything else is great to read and discuss. I see the challenge as more of a competition with yourself than anyone else. All the rules are totally bendable to make it as fun as you would like it to be and suit your needs.
