Word Nerd

Word Nerd is a really funny book, with some interesting characters. I really like it how Ambrose and Cosmo become friends by the love of scrabble, even though they are from two different "worlds" I sort of feel sorry for Ambrose because his mom is a bit too overprotective. I know she loves him and cares about him and all that, but I think it could really get a bit annoying. Though it's not really all her fault because Ambrose's dad died, and she doesn't want to lose Ambrose. I'm really glad that Ambrose could go to scrabble club again, because that's sort of the only place where he can make friends and where people actually accept him for who he is.

I think word nerd is a great book. I love how the Author has made this book into a story that is able to capture readers into it with the realistic setting of a life of a boy who lives a different way of life like most of us. This book gives a strong message of going through difficult times and struggling through and afterward things turn out right. I understand how Ambrose's mom feels because Ambrose is all that she has got. She'd already lost a husband, so she doesn't want to loose her only son.

That is very true! Once you lose something precious, you will do anything to get it back, and if that's not possible, you will protect anything else that's precious with everything you've got! Even though it's normal human nature, I still think Ambrose's mom had overdone it...

I really loved this book too! This would of been in my top 3 red maple books! It was so funny and cool! Who knew a board game could create a friendship between 2 people who are like from different worlds! Loved this book.

This book is the funniest book of all the Red maple book I've read so far. It's so cool how two people from different world's, one that has no friends at all and an ex-druggie who just came out of jail, become friends all because of their love for Scrabble.

The book Word Nerd is an awesome book!!! It's really funny!!! It's pretty cool how two people from completely different world come together through the love of scrabble! I find some parts a bit perverted which was sort of wierd, but other than that... it's was awesome! I agree with Angela, it's great how Ambrose got to go play at the scrabble club again! There he could be himself, and everyone respects and likes him for who he is, which is great!

Woah. This book is just WRONG and NASTY! But overall i got to say this book was pretty good. It's cool how a bully/jail guy/gangster guy is like a brother to a nerd! I have never seen that before that before! Woah! I've accually never played scarrable before, i just wished Ambrose can teach me so i can also get a silver medal, just like him. This book was my 2nd or 3rd favourite book. Ambraose is so perverted. Out of this book i have learned a new word. It's so nasty that i'm not going to saying. Everyone must read this book! *note: just ignore all the nasty parts like what i did, but i kept on laughing and my mom got annoyed and angry.hehe
