Hi, everyone. This isn't really a question about a book, but I thought the people in this forum might be able to help me. I'm searching for a sort of half-remembered legendary female figure of the revolutionary war. I once saw a political cartoon showing her holding a musket at several british soldiers. I believe other her characteristics were great strength and size, and she was well known for outwitting the british and taking them prisoner with their own weapons. I may be hallucinating this person, because every google search I try pulls up Molly Pitcher, which I'm sure isn't right. But if anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them. I'm in college now and hoping to do a brief paper on this woman, if I can remember her name.

Deborah Samson (Sampson?) comes to mind.
