1) What is Reading Wednesday?

Reading Wednesday by Orderly Oasis is a free informal online book discussion group dedicated to discussing organization in home and life through the eyes of various authors and stories. Four books from a variety of genres (including fiction, non-fiction, biography, and how-to) are featured during each 13-week series. The books will attempt to provide well-rounded insight and viewpoints surrounding a main thought-provoking question. Discussion takes place on http://www.orderlyoasis.blogspot.com/ and on www.LibraryThing.com/groups/getorganized starting at 8am every Wednesday of the series.

2) HOW DOES READING WEDNESDAY WORK?

•Books and main question are announced for upcoming series.
•Sign-up begins on the Orderly Oasis blog, on Library Thing, or via email* with 'Join Reading Wednesday' in the subject line to pmkrebs@orderlyoasis.com.

•Full series Suggested Reading Guide with dates is announced.
•First Suggested Reading Assignment is announced for next week's discussion.

•Next Suggested Reading is announced.

2) DO I HAVE TO ANSWER EVERY QUESTION EVERY WEEK?
You may choose to answer whatever questions you desire. Some questions, comments, and readings you are going to feel strongly about, some not so much.

3) WHAT IF I HAVE OTHER QUESTIONS OR ITEMS TO DISCUSS ABOUT THE BOOK THAT AREN'T COVERED IN THE DISCUSSION QUESTIONS?
If there is something else that directly relates to the readings and main question, but isn't covered in the questions and you really wish to discuss it, you may send an email to pmkrebs@orderlyoasis.com or include it in your discussion question response.

4) WHAT IF I MISS A WEEK?
You are welcome to join in the discussion at anytime. Questions will remain posted through the duration of the series. Feel free to comment at your convenience. This is an informal group. No worries, no pressure ... just good discussion about good organizing books.

5) WHAT IF I DIDN'T SIGN UP BEFORE THE SERIES STARTED?
You are welcome to join in the discussion at anytime. Feel free to comment at your convenience and tell your friends. If you would like to receive weekly email reminders, send an email with "Join Reading Wednesday" in the subject line to pmkrebs@orderlyoasis.com

6) WHAT'S THE POINT OF HAVING READING *WEDNESDAY* IF COMMENTS CAN BE MADE AT ANYTIME -- even on other days of the week?
The point of Reading Wednesday is to encourage discussion on organizing related topics by reading good books about home and life with others who share a similar interest around the world. Reading Wednesday provides a basic structure for the regular delivery of thought-provoking questions that can be answered at the readers' convenience throughout the series.

7) WHAT IF I HAVE A SUGGESTION FOR A FUTURE BOOK, DISCUSSION TOPIC OR QUESTION?
Feel free to send an email with your suggestions to pmkrebs@orderlyoasis.com . I'm always looking for good recommendations on a variety of organizing and related topics.

8) HOW LONG HAS READING WEDNESDAY BEEN GOING ON?
Reading Wednesday by Orderly Oasis is set for its initial series Fall 2009, but I have been reading and asking questions on all days of the week since about 1975. :)
