Willa Cather

I've been slogging through Cheever's stories, which I don't much like, and took a break with Cather's "One of Ours" and can't put it down. Very surprised....

I really enjoyed "One of Ours" too! I haven't read Cheever's yet. I had a really hard time with "Guard of Honor" and actually never finished it, I read about half of it 18 months ago.

I haven't read that particular Cather, and it has been many years since I read any of hers, although My Antonia stands out in my mind. I think it was probably a high school book - which is a really darn lot of years ago.
