I just learned about the power of using the Search feature with looking for field, or tag values. The first one I have tried I can't seem to make work.
It is to find all books which have a specific "Finished" date of a value I specify. e.g. '2024-03-05'
How can I do this?

I don't think that field is searchable, so you need to export the LT data to a csv file or similar and use Excel or something similar to search it.
You can add "Reading dates" to one of your viewing styles, so you can see them and sort on them, but I don't think you can sort on "Finished", so this works only if you have a smallish library where you can use the "eyeball" method.
Maybe there is some way of using Charts & Graphs to find this? (I'm guessing there might be a statistics for Finished books in March 2024?)
Ah, no, there doesn't seem to be one:

I can see the number of read books in 2024, but there is no link to them.

You can sort on the field and quickly find the right books.
This also gives you the chance to see a week's worth of books, which a search wouldn't

>4 bnielsen: I have a style set up with finished as a column, and I click on it. There are other ways to do it, but that is my method.

>5 MarthaJeanne: Ah, it's called "Date Finished" in the style settings and the headline is "Finished", so I was looking for "Finished" and couldn't find it :-) Thanks!
Note to future self:
Go to "your books", choose a style say "A", use "Settings" to add a field "Date Finished" from "Personal" to style "A" and save the settings.
You can now see the column "Finished" in style "A" and sort that as you like.

After the above suggestions I have concluded that the list of eligible fields does not include Date Finished in any form. Therefore, it can't be used. I have used the sorting options in the library for Finished and that works fine to place the books in order.
So, I have a new related question. If I use the eligible field of Date, for publication I can say Date: 2024 and find all my books published in 2024. Now I want to know how to ask for all books that were published AFTER some date, e.g. 2022.
What syntax would give that result.
