Look around.
The beautiful ocean can be seen in every direction.
This body of water is home to many, including pirates, mermaids, and sirens.
Pirates sail around for their reasons, the mermaids live in their kingdom, and the sirens.. they're responsible for pirates and mermaids hating each other. Fearing each other.
Sirens can change forms, causing quite a bit of trouble.
Pirates have been told that mermaids drown them, mermaids being told that pirates capture and kill them.
These stories have become true out of fear.
Neither side believes in sirens anymore, thinking of them as myths.

Pirate crews/ships:
The Black Crows: This pirate ship is known for its fighters. The pirates are particularly vengeful and unafraid of combat. They have a good supply of weapons.

The Raiders of the Dead Sea: This pirate ship is all about traveling the globe and finding new, unmarked territories. Many of the pirates are free-spirited, ready to go with the flow. Pirates who join this crew also tend to be running from something.

The Rovers of the Blue Lagoon: This pirate ship has a focus of traveling around to learn the techniques of others. They find treasure to turn into inventions. The pirates in this crew often aren't the strongest of people, but do make up for that with intelligence.

The Sea Foxes: This pirate ship is focused on treasure. They go around chasing for any leads of valuable items, and often steal from towns. They're known for selling their findings for much more than they're worth. Pirates in this crew tend to come from a poor background.

Sea creatures:
Mermaids:
Mermaids are creatures that have the upper half of a human, and the lower half of a sea creature. Many have pretty singing voices and can learn to communicate with other sea creatures. They do not possess any magical abilities. Mermaids have their own underwater kingdom.

Sirens: Sirens are the creatures that make mermaids and humans hate each other. By now, these shapeshifting creatures are a myth to many. They can change forms, from a human to a mer, and from a mer to a human. They are stunning, with singing voices that are almost hypnotizing. They can speak to sea creatures.
Sirens can sometimes control the weather, but they must activate their immortality. Sirens age like normal people, but when they have their first kill, they stop aging. They can be killed but they can't die from illnesses or old age. Some live for thousands of years.

Town Citizens: These are just normal people living in either Coral Port or Mossview.

Locations (don't judge the names):

Coral Port: This is the biggest town for trading and selling items. People set up booths all over with items they've created or found at sea. Wealthy citizens live here, and have their own businesses.

Mossview: This town is found on the same island as Coral Port, and is where the lower-class citizens live. There are farms and some smaller shops.

Lemuria: This is the mermaid kingdom. There's a giant castle, along with many underwater shops and homes for mermaids. It's a pretty safe place.

Leviathan: This is an underwater town far out from Lemuria, for mermaids who are traveling or have been exiled from the main kingdom.

Prospero Island: This is a small island that is full of caves, both underwater and on land. It's rumored that there's some kind of mythical treasure, but nobody's succeeded in finding it.

Of course, the world is huge, so don't feel limited to your characters visiting these places. These are just official locations to add some detail and professionalism to the RP!

The Sea Foxes ship, Vengence, was sailing 200 meters away

Raidne smiled, poking her head out of the water.

Shadow was on the ship and spotted a head in the water, thinking it was a person that had gone overboard, he called for the anchor to be lowered

Raidne noticed Shadow, going back fully underwater.

"Man overboard!" His booming voice said, a life boat was deployed and Shadow looked for the head

Raidne tried swimming away although their tail was entangled with the seaweed.

The Sea Foxes first mate pointed at the girl under the water. "Grab onto my hand lass!" Shadow said

Raidne grabbed at Shadow's hand, unable to breathe.

He hefted her out of the water with surprising strength

Raidne looked surpised and a little scared, still soaking wet. (she can transform into a human just not when she is covered in water)

"Oh, yer a siren," Shadow said, "I won't do you any harm." he said

Raidne whimpered a little, the seaweed curled up into a knot on their tail.

He cleared his throat, "Let me see that," He said gently in a now clear voice

Raidne moved their tail, wincing.

He looked into Raiden's eyes gently, "My name is Captain Shadow," he said, taking out a knife, "I'm not going to hurt you, I'm just going to cut off that seaweed."

Raidne opened their mouth to speak, although it seemed like they were either too shy or mute.

"You can go to sleep," he looked at the sky which was turning to dark, "Everyone needs to sleep, the supplies will be in by the morning." He gave the call for everyone to get to bed

Shadow smiled, "A very popular one indeed," he replied, singing the song for Raidne and writing dwn the lyrics

"Look through this and try to memorize it," Shadow said, handing them the music sheet

Raidne nodded, grabbing the sheet and reading through it.

She muttered, "Fifteen men on a dead man's chest.....Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum"

"That's good!" he said smiling

"Yay! Im learning!"

"Keep practicing!" he said laughing

"I will"

Shadow smiled again

Raidne grinned, "Well, what shall we do now?"

He shrugged, "I think we are close to our first village."

"Yay! My first raid!"

Shadow laughed, "That's the spirit lass!"

Raidne chuckled, "And its all because of you"

"Thank ye lass," he said, blushing as the guy in the crow's nest rang the bell

"Does that mean we are here?" Raidne asked, now a little anxious about what is about to happen.

"It does," he said smiling, "Do ye know how to work a canon?"

"Kind of, i saw my brother use one"

"Try your best and aim for key points." he said, "But now I'll be off."

"I will"

He smiled, drawing out his cutlass and lowering the gangplank

Raidne tried looking out to know where they were shooting but was unable.

Shadow laughed as shouting rang out

They started to panic, not wanting to shoot the wrong person, or even thing.

Shadow made quick work of the raid and helped carry their plunder

Raidne sat down, panicking a little.

"Aye lass, why the long face?" He said, letting out a hearty laugh

"I couldnt do anything because i didnt want to accidentally shoot you!" Raidne cried, hanging their head in their hands.

Shadow smiled, "It's fine lass"

"I-I hope, but i could have ruined it!"

"No, you wouldn't have." he said

"F-Fine, if thats what you say...."

"Here, take some of the plunder." he said, handing them a small bag of gold coins

Raidne took the small bag, "I dont deserve anything....i didn't even help"

"You were here, all ye need to do is learn how to use a cannon."

"Guess so, but how should i practice?"

Shadow stroked his beard, "Hmmmm."

Raidne waited for an answer wiping their face.

One second, going to eat a snack rq)) "We could always set up a training area at our land that my crew and I own."

lol alr)) "Yeah, maybe we can"

"But for now, we need to set sail out of here." He said, "Come with me if you will."

Raidne nodded, grabbing his hand.

He smiled, turning his head away so she wouldn't see him blushing.

They chuckled, "Well lets go then!"

He went up to the helm where a chair had been placed, "You can choose to sit there or watch. Actually, you can do whatever ye want."

Raidne nodded, still standing.

"RAISE THE ANCHOR, LOOSEN THE MASTS." He bellowed

Raidne covered their ears a little before putting them down again.

"Sorry lass," He said apologetically as the ship started to move

"Its okay, just a bit loud"

Shadow started to pilot the ship northward

Raidne smiled, "I want to try to race the ship in the water!"

Shadow smiled, "Be my guest lass. But Vengence here is quite fast. In fact, I believe she's the fastest ship of all the ships."

"I will try!" Raidne said, running towards the edge, before diving into the water.

Shadow watched as she plummetted. "OARS OUT," He bellowed as 20 oars stuck out from holes in the sides, "HEAVE HO."

Raidne chuckled, starting to swim as quick as she could forwards.

Shadow set up the tempo for the rowers and left 40 more men to relieve them the moment the got tired. He then ordered the triangular part of the sails, which hadn't been used yet, to be unfurled. Making them speed up even faster

Raidne tried to push themself to go faster, although failing.

Shadow's bellowing laughter could be heard from the ship, "Just give up lass!"

"Never!"

Shadow smiled, "A fighting spirit. It's rare to find a girl like that these days." He said to himself

Raidne started trying to swim even faster, starting to get extremely tired.

Shadow called for the ship to stop and for a small life boat to be deployed

Raidne climbed on, tired.

The life boat was returned back onto the ship and Raidne was greeted with a big smile from Shadow, "Ye did better than I thought Raidne."

"I try my best, although a ship doesnt get tired"

"No, but the people rowing do." Shadow said, "Ye probably need some rest."

"Maybe...but i want to watch"

"Okay, ye can watch if ye want."

"Yay!"

Shadow smiled as the sails unfurled again, propelling them towards the island that was now 30 nauticle miles infront of them

"Woahhhh-"

"Ain't she beautiful?" He said smiling, "Most of it has no buildings or anything."

"That sounds amazing,"

"I actually have a house that should be done, it has a beautiful view and a small lake nearby. The lake also has a waterfall." He paused, "I'd like it if you'd stay with me."

"I would love to stay with you!" Raidne yelled, very exited.

Shadow smiled broadly as they pulled into port

Raidne waited to get off, extied.

Shadow smiled as the gangplank was lowered, "Unload all of the cargo," he told all of his men, "Come with me Raidne."

Raidne nodded, grabbing his hand again.

He sighed happily, walking along a path

Raidne grinned walking with him.

Soon a massive house was seen. Around the house was a decent sized woods. "Welcome to my humble abode." he said

"Woah- thats so big!"

"And I'm the only one that was planned on living in it, but now there's two," he chuckled, "There's a seperate room from you if you want."

"What if i dont want my own room?" Raidne asked.

"Then you can sleep in my room with me," he said shrugging

"Yay, i cant wait"

He entered the front door, revealing something similar to the woodland manshion entrance (from Minecraft)

"What- its so cool in here!"

Shadow smiled, "Thank you lass."

"Your very welcome cap"

"Our room is up the stairs and directly to the right."

"Okay!"

Shadow smiled, "Are you hungry?"

"Yeah- i am"

"The dining room is over there," he said pointing, "I'm going to go into the kitchen and cook us up something."

"Ooh okay!" Raidne said, walking over.

Shadow smiled

Raidne looked around, "Woah- everything is so big compared to the stuff in the sea."

"That be true."

"Its like the water never touched the wood, and all of its beauty is preserved"

Shadow smiled, "What do ye want to eat?"

"Hmmmm, anything!"

"Okay, it'll be out soon." Shadow said, going towards the kitchen

"Cool, ill just be looking around"

"Okay lass."

Raidne smiled, walking around.

Shadow came out 15 minutes later with big plates

"Those plates are hugeeeee" Raidne said, walking back into the dining room.

"There's a bit of food," he smiled, "Got a bit carried away with cooking."

"Seems like it, but i want to try everything!"

"Well then, eat up!" He said, laughing as he put down the platters

Raidne started making a plate, not wanting to pile it up much.

Shadow also made a plate, but his was considerably larger

They started eating, "This is so good!"

"Thank you."

"Your welcome," They said, continuing to eat.

He smiled, eating as well

Raidne got more food, trying to eat calmly and not shove it into their mouth.
