I'm from Finland. I used to be an avid bookworm, but for years I have had troubles to focus and finish books. However, recently I found my love for reading again. I finished two books in two days.

It has something to do with the phones that are welded to our hands nowadays, I’m thinking.

Hi, I'm new to LibraryThing. Another author friend suggested I join. She said it was a safe and fun way ("no drama") to connect with readers. I read different genres but have been leaning more and more toward historical fiction. I'm traditionally pulbished and my latest novel is "Dulcinea," the story of the fictional woman who inspired Miguel Cervantes to write Don Quixote.

Greetings from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. I am a new member of The Library Thing. This is a whole new world in regards to books; a kind of world wide web with the niche market of authors and librarians. The reason I joined is because a web search for Short Story International listed the volume that contains my short story "A Javanese Dancer" Volume 114, 1996. Alas I have lost my only copy of my favorite short story. One member who goes by banannie273 has SSI 114. When this volume is sent to me, I will give a "Good Shepherd/Lost Lamb" gala dinner party and you are all invited! I am 81 years old and still trains as a black belt in Shotokan karate and competes in the Masters Games Tae Kwon Do. But I am behind times when it comes to the web. I do hope that somehow banannie273 gets this message. I know she has listed over 30 books this year so he/she is an active member. I have sent two requests so far but to no avail. Can anybody help me contact banannie 273, pretty please!!!!!! Thank you, Stella Edmundson (member SEdmundson).
