My spin gave me W - so I will read Wild Swans.
I remember reading it many years ago and enjoying it (before I was reading the list).

My spin gave me R - I think I will read one of the Salman Rushdie novels that I haven't gotten to yet.

I got Z !!
That leaves me with three choices: Arnold Zweig, Joost Zwagerman, or Z.
I don't own any of these, so I may have to spin again!

I'm still working my way up to reading What a Carve Up which seems like a cheerful book for August's challenge. But I spun the wheel and got an H, which gives me lots of options if I also count in authors whose first name starts with H. Why not?

I got the letter "S" and decided that I could squeeze one more book into September's reading list, if it was short. I have chosen The Lonely Londoners by Sam Selvon

"R" is for.... Roth Sabbath's Theater.
8Cecilturtle
"J" for Henry James. I pick The Golden Bowl

I have completed my read of The Lonely Londoners by Sam Selvon for this challenge. I didn't love the book but it was interesting and it captured the distinct voices of immigrant Caribbean people.
