I believe Willerby had been contacted by someone about the Earlsacre property and the correspondence would be in those files.
I'm hazarding a guess that 'Jones' thought he had some sort of claim on the property as a long-lost family member.

I think I answered this in the last question. Definitely something the the file that the thief didn't want anyone to see.

I think it has to do with a claim to the property. John Jones must have had some paperwork or other information that made the claim credible and consulted Willerby about it.

I agree with everyone. John Jones may have more claim to the property than the others...somehow.

I agree with the above - I've suspected that John Jones is a "long lost" relative that was cheated by Pitiway or Samuels
