Apologies if I've posted this to the wrong group but I think there was a discussion here at some point about the covers of HP Lovecraft paperbacks. I just bought a book called Paperbacks from Hell and it has many great reproductions of the covers of paperbacks that came out in the '70s and '80s. The book's expensive (US $24.99/$29.99 CAN) but I feel the cover of John Christopher's The Little People is worth the price of admission alone. You can see it see it here but trigger warning for graphic depiction of Nazi leprechauns:

You can also see it here, with appropriate commentary: http://www.goodshowsir.co.uk/?p=4262.

Oh yes, Paperbacks from hell came up in some thread already, looks like a lot of fun. :)

That Christopher book popped up on my radar before; slightly disappointingly, it doesn't seem to be as remarkable a tale as that particular cover suggests. But that's definitely one to pick up for the cover alone already...

I bought another bunchlet of vintage mysteries and sf recently. I think I entered all the mysteries, but not the sf (the novels go into a reading pile first). I was totally delighted to snag a mint specimen of this one (better condition than the one shown here!):

Lots of gold in those comments!
